Strategies and tools for the sustainability of the family business

On Thursday 9 March will take place the event “Strategies and Tools for the Sustainability of Family Business“. The meeting is organized by Andersen in cooperation with BPER Banca and the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti. During the workshop will be analyzed the conditions that favor the long-term success of businesses and create sustainable value over time for shareholders and other stakeholders.

Andersen professionals Andrea De Vecchi, Sandro Catani, Francesco Inturri, Andrea Menni, Maricla Pennesi and Paolo Trevisanato, together with Giorgio Brunetti, professor emeritus of Strategy and Business Policy at Bocconi University, Matteo Stoppa, BPER Banca executive private manager, and Stefano Taioli, head of BPER Banca’s Investment Banking Office, will discuss their experiences in the field. Will be examined the value of Benefit Societies as a tool for corporate sustainability, capital transactions, governance reviews, and the role of banks in supporting IPOs.

BPER Banca is Italy’s third-largest national bank, operating in all regions through 1,900 branches and with representative offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai. It is the parent company of the BPER Group, which also includes Bibanca and Banco di Sardegna. Today it is one of the main players in Italy’s sustainable development, contributing, through its multidisciplinary offering, to the development projects and businesses.

The Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti originated with Napoleon in the early 19th century and was, following the annexation of Veneto to Italy, recognised as one of the institutions of national interest, together with the other main academies in the region. The Institute periodically organises scientific and humanistic events and meetings and promotes innovation projects through the awarding of various prizes and scholarships. In addition, it consistently publishes the journal Atti and the periodical Memorie, which bring together monographic works on many areas of interest, such as history, literature, art and natural sciences.
