ITR EMEA Tax Awards 2023: the Andersen firms in the final shortlist
The directory ITR (International Tax Review) has included Andersen and its professionals in the shortlist of the best EMEA firms in several categories.
In particular, Andersen in Italy has been nominated as the Firm of the Year in the Transfer Pricing and Tax Disputes categories.
The European team, coordinated by Maricla Pennesi from Andersen in Italy, has received a significant number of nominations, as a testament to the successes and dedication that the firm carries forward every day, thanks to the work of its professionals both nationally and internationally.
Nations such as Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, and Ukraine, including member and collaborating firms of Andersen, have also received nominations as the best firms of the year in the categories of Transfer Pricing, Tax, Disputes, and Indirect Tax.

Andersen in Poland: TP Firm and Tax Firm of the year, and Best Newcomer
Andersen Hungary: TP Firm, Tax Firm, and Indirect Firm of the year
Slovenia, Law Firm Senica & Partners, Ltd.: TP Firm of the year
Romania, Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii: TP Firm and Tax Disputes Firm of the year
Ukraine, Sayenko Kharenko: Tax Firm, TP Firm, and Indirect Tax Firm of the year
Regarding Africa and the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates and Nigeria were the states where Andersen firms stood out for their value and professionalism, receiving nominations as the Firm of the Year in the Tax and Transfer Pricing categories, respectively.

The Emirati firm also earned three nominations in the Rising Star category, dedicated to emerging figures, for three of its young professionals: Prateem Sengupta, Tax Rising Star; Gaurav Chugani, Tax Litigation Rising Star; Kanika Duseja, Indirect Tax Rising Star.
The directory also announced nominations for firms that have distinguished themselves for their policies aimed at promoting Diversity and Inclusion, placing Andersen among the seven finalists. This is further recognition to reward the attention that the firm devotes to such issues, essential for creating a serene and fulfilling work environment.
