How Andersen faced Covid crisis
Francesco Marconi, Partner of Andersen in Italy, gave an interview to the newspaper Italia Oggi in an article on the impact caused by the health emergency due to the Covid-19 virus in economic and organizational terms.
The Italian member of Andersen Global adopted two different approaches to face the crisis: conservative, which has allowed maintaining business continuity through the containment of expenses and cuts to professional remuneration, and proactive.
The proactive approach, supported by the analysis of economic sustainability and the prospects for business development, enhanced human resources by protecting individuals and maintaining employment. “The real topic will be the attention that management will give to people, to the protection of their health and their workplace, during this emergency,” comments Francesco Marconi. “In my opinion, people will be the founding element for the future restart, even for legal organizations”.
Francesco Marconi analyzes the need to reconsider and reorganize the methods of use of the company’s “physical” spaces, optimizing their occupation also thanks to the support of technology and concludes “I also believe that this emergency will further accelerate new aggregation processes in the legal field, following a trend already underway in recent years. A process of redefinition and simplification would also be desirable to facilitate the creation of companies between professionals, including multidisciplinary ones “
