Sandro Catani

Sandro works at Andersen as of counsel because of his proven experience in advisory and M&A. He is also an independent advisor and member of the Remuneration Committees of unlisted companies in the luxury, publishing, and deep technology sectors.

In the past, he has served as CEO at the Italian and European levels in global management consulting companies.

Sandro has served as an advisor in the Remuneration Committees of several companies listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, particularly in Long Term incentives design and remuneration policy definition in the IPO phases.

He is specialized in defining the compensation package and contracts of CEOs and executives, associated with strategic plans, turnarounds, and M&A determination.

Sandro is also involved in Shareholders and Family Agreements negotation and preparation, balance scorecard review, and ESG factors.

He is a member of Nedcommunity, the Italian association of non-executive and independent directors, and members of governing and supervisory bodies. And he is currently chairman of the Board of Advisors.

Sandro has been an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ferrara and a regular lecturer at several Italian universities on Governance and Executive Compensation issues, and a speaker at Business Conferences on ESG and Sustainability issues.

Sandro enjoys writing essays on human capital strategies for specialized and non-specialized publications; he is also the author with Garzanti of the following volumes: Manager Superstar (2010); Gerontocracy (2014); The Secret of Talent. Instructions for Use (2015); editor of Enrico Mattei, Even Italians Know How to Work (2020).
